Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Friday night is pizza night at our house, most of the time we buy from the same places, but we decided to try something different, each week we buy from a different place, this week it was Pizza Mia, Buy a medium pizza and get a small cheese pizza free, good deal, the pizza was fantastic, about $17.00 for a 14 inch double crust with sausage, and they are not skimpy with the sausage, almost too much, they also do catering, a great place to go for decent food.

New Lenox has themselves a good deep dish joint! They don't deliver west of rt52, which means I've only experienced their pick up service. The rotating crew of 12 year old cashiers have only messed up one order in the 3 years I've frequented this place, which speaks volumes about the surrounding Lincoln way school district. I'm not trying to mess with the thin crust at this place, and neither should you. Go deep dish, and/or go home. Grab some of their breaded shrooms, and you won't be disappointed. They usually get smashed on the car ride home or are gone before the pizza even gets plated. All in all, a good spot. I see them trying to get fancy with some chicken or whatever, but I'm not trying to hear that from my pizza place.

Now that my wife and I have a newborn we order delivery grub more than we used to. When we lived in Saint Charles we were addicted to a certain Asian restaurant. When we moved to new lenox we had a lot of TERRIBLE experiences with local pizza joints... Aurelio's is D- Beggars is B Nancy's is a C- Pizza Mia has quality delivery food, extremely rapid delivery and a A+ menu. You won't be disappointed!

SLOW DOWN ON THE CORN MEAL PIZZA DUDE!!! I used to consider their pizza to be the best in New Lenox, but now every pizza is loaded with corn meal on the bottom of crust. I know you gotta use a little corn meal so the pizza can slide but i don't want corn meal to be the main ingredient of my pizza. I notified the owner about the issue with the Corn Meal and he gave me a give certificate for 1 free pizza. If all goes well I will update my review. With that being said, I really love the pasta selection. Their pasta sauce is really good and they have the typical stuff like Baked Mostacolli, Lasagne, Spaghetti, etc. Also the prices are way better than Nancy's.

What happened Pizza Mia? Could the attempts to franchise get you to cut corners and manipulate your pizza recipe? Never had a bad pie here until this Christmas holiday. Something was seriously "off". The dough tasted like the cardboard box the pizza came in. The abundance of cheese that was usually a treat, seemed heavy and unappealing. Nobody even fought for the left overs the morning after. And that says a lot.

Pizza Mia is pretty good and very close to my house, so we've ended up ordering there a few times lately. I've only tried the thin crust, which is just okay. I hate that they don't have any specialty pizzas, making my favorite pizza (a selection of veggies) impossibly expensive. The last time, I ordered it with the toppings I didn't have in the house, and then sauteed my own spinach and green olives at home. I know that sounds cheap, but I really can't spend $20 on a basic, medium-sized thin crust pizza that's not much better than frozen pizza from the grocery store. The boyfriend really loves the chicken, so he's been ordering from there a lot. He gets the 8 piece without the potatoes, and sometimes they charge less for leaving the potatoes off and sometimes they don't, which bugs me.

"Oh, Chub-a-dub-dub, You're such tasty grub. Pizza without sauce, But truly it's no loss. Such beefy bliss are you When soaking in au jus. A hint of peppery punch Makes you the perfect lunch." How good is the Chub at Pizza Mia? It's good enough to make me break out in verse. It's good enough that my graphic designer coworker actually put together a logo to celebrate the days we order it for lunch. And it has the perfect name to inspire hours of puns and jokes. ("I got a large Chub on my birthday!" "Eat your fair share of the Chub - don't get stiffed!") For those of you who haven't had this amazing pizza yet, let me tell you about it. It's basically a beef sandwich, complete the hot peppers and cheese, baked inside a crust. It's served with a big side of au jus for dipping or just pouring over your 'za. It's also incredibly filling - as much as I love it, I can't put away more than a slice and a half. A large feeds our whole five-person department. My coworkers and I all agree that the Chub is pizza perfection. The days we order it are dubbed Chub Days and we literally count down the time until Pizza Mia is open so that we can order it. (Oh, and make sure you snag a menu when you go to pick up your Chub - they always have coupons on the back that you can use for future purchases!)

My family and I always order Pizza Mia when we get together. My daughter has recently been eating gluten free and she was SO excited to find out they now have gluten free crust! She's tried all the gluten free crusts in town and this is now her favorite one!

Pizza Mia is a go-to for tasty quick dinners in our household. They have good pizza (stuffed is delish) and their broasted chicken is fantastic!!!! Their chicken dinner wipes the floor with that "other" chicken place. We order there often, and have gotten catering from them as well on several occasions. Never an issue - if there were, Dave and his crew would get it straightened out quickly. I highly recommend their Italian beef, cheesy garlic bread and onion rings as well. Yummmy!

The family and I have been ordering pizzas from Pizza Mia for a while now. We just ordered a 16" cheese and sausage and a 16" cheese and pepperoni last night. The pizzas are very good, not greasy at all. They have good solid crusts and plenty of ingredients. The service is friendly and with coupons the prices are reasonable. We have also tried their catering service for some family parties and we all think they offer some of the best Italian Beef out there. Their other food offerings are also good too.

It seems like we can't have a family gathering or order out without getting Pizza Mia. We have been ordering here ever since they opened their New Lenox location and the quality of the food never waivers. It is always the first suggestion we have when deciding what to have for dinner. It is consistently the best fried chicken I have ever had. Everything I have had on the menu, the thin crust pizza, garlic bread, potato wedges, chicken parmesan sandwich (which is HUGE by the way) are all very good and I would recommend them to anyone. I also like that their hours start early so we can have lunch if we feel like it. I like not having to wait until 4 or 5pm to have pizza. I would like to start trying more of the apps and pastas, I am sure they are just as delicious.
